Warranty

What we stand behind — and how you can check it yourself.

Hive’s strongest warranty is not a promise on a page. It is the fact that every signed receipt Hive issues can be verified independently, by you, offline, with no access to us — today and for as long as the standard endures.

The verification warranty

Each Hive signature is produced with ML-DSA-65 (NIST FIPS 204), a standardized, post-quantum digital-signature algorithm. We warrant that:

Service commitment

Signing is delivered as a service. Where Hive provides a signing endpoint, we commit to operating it with reasonable care and availability. Signing is designed to be out-of-band: it records an action, it does not gate it. If a signing endpoint is unavailable, your underlying operation is unaffected — only the issuance of the receipt is deferred.

Limitations

Except as expressly stated above, Hive’s services are provided “as is.” Hive does not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted or error-free, and does not make representations about fitness for a particular purpose beyond the verification properties described here. The cryptographic warranty above describes the properties of the signature scheme and Hive’s verification commitment; it is not a guarantee of any particular legal, regulatory, or evidentiary outcome in any specific proceeding. Nothing on this page modifies the binding terms set out in our Terms & Conditions and EULA, which govern in the event of any conflict.

This page summarizes Hive’s warranty posture in plain language. For the binding warranty, disclaimer, and limitation-of-liability terms, see the Terms & Conditions and EULA.
